Laurence Musgrove is a professor of English at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, where he teaches creative writing, literature, comic studies, drawing-to-learn, and mindfulness.

His recent collection of poetry, Local Bird, is from Lamar University Literary Press.  His poetry has appeared in a variety of publications online and in print, including Southern Indiana ReviewBuddhist Poetry Review, Ink Brick, Inside Higher Ed, descant, Drunken Boat, riverSedge, San Antonio Express-News, and New Texas.
